For content that needs to be repeated on a regular basis, for example annual mandatory training, masterplan.com offers the Recurring training setting. Once enabled, the learning path is automatically reset after the specified time period has elapsed and reassigned to already assigned learners, with no manual effort required.
Requirements
This setting is visible and editable for the roles Manager, Company Administrator, Owner, and Content Creator.
Where do I find this setting?
Within the learning path editor, on step 3, Settings, you'll find the Recurring training section. Here you can specify the interval (e.g. every 365 days for an annual mandatory training) after which the learning path should be refreshed.
Important: Recurring learning paths cannot be deleted, but can be paused and edited at any time.
What happens during automatic reassignment?
Progress restarts at 0%
Once the specified time period has elapsed, the learning path and all progress data are automatically reset. All assigned learners will need to complete it again in full, regardless of how far they had progressed in the previous cycle.
New content resets completion
If new content is added to the learning path between two cycles, it's treated as additional content that all assigned learners need to complete. Any previously achieved progress is reset accordingly, since the new content becomes part of the existing learning path.
Track progress separately (default: enabled)
When this setting is enabled, completion within this learning path is kept separate from existing progress on the rest of the platform. This means: even if a learner has already completed individual pieces of content elsewhere on masterplan.com, they will need to complete them again within the learning path.
When this setting is disabled, previously achieved completions of individual content are carried over into the learning path and don't need to be completed again by the learner.
Disabling during active use
Recurring training can be disabled at any time while active. In this case:
- Already achieved progress is automatically synced afterwards.
- Re-enabling the setting afterwards does not delete any progress.
