What Is the Growth Map?
The Growth Map displays all the Power Skills after you complete the self-evaluation. You can return to it any time if you want to improve your Power Skill or any of the seven Power Skills.
Why Is There a Power Skills Self-Evaluation?
Masterplan’s Power Skills self-evaluation helps you playfully discover which topics—and therefore which Power Skill—are most relevant to your personal growth. Instead of consuming content randomly, you can focus on strengthening the skills that really benefit you in your daily work. This saves you time and ensures that you learn exactly what will advance your career.
In short: The self-evaluation helps you identify your Power Skill - the skill with the greatest development potential for you.
Why Is the Self-Evaluation Important, and How Does It Support Personal Growth?
The self-evaluation is important because it provides clear guidance: Where do you currently stand with your Power Skills, and where is there potential for further development? By understanding your own learning needs, you can focus on the skills that really help you succeed in your day-to-day work.
For your personal growth, this means you learn not only more efficiently, but also more intentionally. Instead of consuming content at random, you receive structured recommendations tailored to your individual strengths and areas for improvement. This allows you to focus on the right topics and continue to grow consistently.
How Does the Self-Evaluation Work?
If your company has enabled this feature, you can access the self-evaluation by clicking on Skills in the left navigation bar. This will open your Growth Map.
If you haven't completed the self-evaluation yet, you'll see a red button labeled Personalize Your Masterplan. Click it to begin the process.
The first five questions help Masterplan determine what is most relevant to your daily work. Each question asks you to choose between two options.
Based on your answers to the first five questions, Masterplan will suggest three Power Skills tailored to your interests. You can keep these choices or choose other Power Skills that you feel are more relevant to you.
Next, you will see six statements. For each statement, you can rate the degree to which it applies to you. This will help determine how well you already understand your Power Skill.
Now, you can assess your skill level for different Power Skills yourself.
In the next step, you can select 10 topics in which you are already proficient.
Finally, you will receive a recommendation for your Power Skill. The self-evaluation helps identify the skill with the most development potential for you. You can either accept the suggestion or choose a different Power Skill.
By the way:
- You can also change your Power Skill at any time after the self-evaluation if your interests change.
- All other Power Skills can also be viewed on the Growth Map, and you can continue your learning in those areas as well.
Once you've selected a Power Skill, your personal Growth Map is created. You can return to it any time if you want to learn something new.
How Does the Result of the Self-Evaluation Influence Your Personal Learning Plan?
Your answers in the self-evaluation help Masterplan identify your Power Skill. Based on your answers, a different Power Skill will be selected. At the end of the self-evaluation, Masterplan will suggest the Power Skill in which you have the greatest potential to develop, based on your answers.
However, you can also learn about all other Power Skills. The Growth Map shows you all the Power Skills and your level in each one. For each Power Skill, course recommendations will be provided.
How Long Does the Self-Evaluation Take?
