What are Notes?
With Notes, you can ensure that you remember learning content on Masterplan in the long term. While watching a lesson, you can jot down your key thoughts, personal mnemonics, or examples. This creates your own individualized learning record.
Notes are especially useful for:
Recording key insights in bullet points,
Documenting your own examples or practical applications,
Writing down open questions to revisit later,
Creating a personal “learning trail” through your courses.
All notes are automatically saved and accessible at any time. This way, you can refresh your knowledge even weeks later without watching the entire lesson again. In short: Notes turn passive watching into active learning and help secure long-lasting learning success.
What types of Notes are there?
Video Notes: Click the notes button at the top right of the video player. Your note is saved along with the timestamp, so you can jump back to that exact point later.
Definition Notes: Click “Add as Note” next to a definition on the lesson page.
Text Highlight Notes: Highlight text in the transcript or a text-based lesson. A note window appears where you can enter your note. Both the highlighted text and your note are saved.
Can Notes and Definitions be exported?
Yes. You can export all saved notes, including any definitions:
Open your Dashboard.
Click on the “Notes” tab.
Select “Download Notes”.
This gives you a file containing all your notes, which you can store externally or use elsewhere.
Where can I view my Notes again?
Directly in the lesson: Notes created during a lesson can be found on that lesson’s page.
Central Notes section: In the navigation bar under “Notes”, you can see an overview of all notes you have ever created. Here, you can search, edit, or delete your notes at any time.
This central access keeps your key insights always at hand and lets you revisit them whenever needed.
