Who can create learning paths?
The respective owners and managers, i.e. license administrators, all automatically have the corresponding rights to create and edit learning paths according to that role assignment.
Create your learning path in 4 easy steps:
Click on the field "Create a learning path" in the company area, there you have to/can edit/fill in the following fields:
- General information
- Name of the learning path (max. 60 characters)
- Choose a thumbnail
- Description (max. 170 characters)
- Choose a language
- Decide if this is a mandatory learning path, if it should be completed chronologically and if a certificate should be issued at the end.
- Adjust the notifications-settings.
-
Enable restricted access:
Manager (LP owner) perspective
- The manager, who created the LP (LP owner) will have full permissions to the LP in terms of editing it and if he has his own learners he will also be able to invite them.
- An additional option in the LP settings list (in the first step of the wizard) called Restricted access - disabled by default
- Only the LP owner has the ability to change the Restricted access setting, in other cases this toggle is deactivated.
Other manager perspective
- Other managers, if the "Restricted access" option is enabled, only have access to view the given LP on the Learning Path listing and the ability to add their learners to the LP.
- They do not have the option to edit anything in this learnering path (only adding learners), and all steps in wizard except adding Learners are blocked.
Administrator and Owner
- They are be able to edit the LP, in the same way as the owner of the given LP.
- Add lessons
- Duration & possible points for completion
- Assign user
- Click on "Done" and "Publish Now
If you want to make adjustments or changes to your learning path in the future, you can change all elements such as titles, employee assignments, etc. at any time. In edit mode, you can then either delete learning path content and thus remove possible progress for completed participants or replace existing elements with new ones via "Edit", e.g. if only minor changes have been made to the course content. In this case, the learning statuses achieved are retained.
We have also combined various topics into learning path templates.
There is content available on the topics of digitization, employee management, and getting started with the platform. Please contact support@masterplan.com to find out whether your desired topic is available as a learning path template.
