Select an operation from the menu and upload a .csv file containing the relevant user data.
The following adjustments can be made via bulk adjustment:
Import Users
Allows you to import multiple users at once, even without email addresses. You will need to provide the email address or ID, user group, and department, as well as specify whether an email notification should be sent.
Edit user details
Allows you to edit user information when updates are needed. All columns (Email/ID, First Name, Last Name, Roles) must be filled in and listed in exactly this order. If a column is left blank, the user’s existing data will be removed.
Deactivate user
Allows you to manage the license pool and reclaim licenses from inactive users. The email address or ID must be provided.
Reactivate users
Allows users to regain access to their account after a period of inactivity. The email address or ID must be specified.
Assign user groups
Allows you to manage user group assignments for learners. The email or ID, user groups to assign, and user groups to remove must be specified in the exact order.
Department assignment
Allows you to assign multiple users to departments at the same time. The email or ID and the department must be specified. If the department is empty, the user will be removed from their active department.
Which characters are not allowed in the Email, First Name, and Last Name fields?
When creating users (whether individually or via bulk upload), the email address, first name, and last name fields must not contain the following special characters, as these are not technically accepted by the underlying authentication system:
< > & " $ % ! # ? § , * = / { } \ ^ 'If a CSV file contains any of these characters in the fields mentioned above, the creation of that user will fail. Before uploading, check your data (especially for names with hyphens, apostrophes, or special characters from other languages) for these characters and clean them up beforehand if necessary.
User groups and departments are not affected: This restriction applies exclusively to the authentication fields email, first name, and last name. You can continue to name user groups or departments freely, including with special characters.
